Tous à vélo

Today Andy and I participated in the much advertised Tous à vélo to inaugurate the new bike path from Marseillan Ville to Marseillan Plage - a 5ish km bike.  It was way better attended than I had expected it to be - there were hundreds and hundreds of people there, mainly adults.  We all got a white T-shirt with Marseillan on it (nice souvenir!), and it was a lot of fun biking with so many people, if a little dangerous - we saw at two minor accidents ourselves, plus we drove past a really nice bike that had literally snapped in two (looked like he had ridden straight into a wall), with an ambulance nearby tending to the rider, hope he was OK.  The bike path itself is great, but we have already ridden it several times, so we knew what to expect.  The town are on their toes and already have a nice little video up of the event here, (I could not see either Andy or me in it).  I imagine the town must be really happy with the turnout, it was incredibly impressive, I had expected about 50 people, not the hundreds that turned up.
